    Rhus succedanea Linn. A deciduous, large shrub or small tree to 8m high. Dark green leaves are formed of 7 to 12 leaflets, turning bright red in Autumn. This is when they are more easily recognised. Flowers and Fruit: Small yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by large clusters of tawny coloured fruit in winter, often eaten and spread by many species of birds.
